The DFS3000 system has been recently completely redesigned to offer full RGB LED control when operated from DMX. The system can individually control up to 150 special LED globes all on a common cable. The wiring strategy is user defined and can be formed from any 8A rated cable and lamp holders including standard festoon harness. DFS3000 LED units are just like a standard bulb with a standard ES base. Internally they include special decoding circuitry and four high intensity RGB LEDs. DFS3000 LED units can even be retro-fitted into existing festoon installations. Simply wire the cable back to the DFS3000 power unit and program the system to realise a fantastic colourful lighting display. A new high power LED unit is now available featuring 50% more light output.


	SYSTEM COMPONENTS


		DFS3000 LED UNIT

The DFS3000 LED unit looks like a standard ES lamp. The globe measures 55mm diameter. The units feature excellent environmental protection and are suitable for use outdoors. Two versions are available, standard and high intensity. The high intensity version is about 50% brighter than the standard unit and is a costed option. The LED units include four RGB LEDs (six for high intensity version) and now feature full RGB 8 bit control. The units feature true linear current control (not PWM) to give excellent flicker free colour when viewed with a video camera. The maximum length of cable is 100M although a number of cables can be run in parallel from a given power unit. LED UNIT MAIN FEATURES Standard ES base. Full RGB control. 	CLEAR GLOBE OPTION FOR A MORE PIERCING EFFECT

The DFS3000 power unit operates from 230 or 110VAC and controls up to 150 standard or 100 High intensity LED units via a single two conductor cable. The system accepts LED control information from DMX or can play user created sequences from the built in memory card with our special control software to provide standalone operation with a limited colour pallet. Standalone operation is not limited to 150 LED units because the system includes a special power unit synchronizing system which can time coordinate virtually any number of power units even over long distances. For outdoor applications an environmentally protected version is available with an IP66 rated polycarbonate enclosure.

		HAND PROGRAMMER

	The hand programmer is a commissioning and maintenance tool used to set the address of each LED unit. To Program an LED unit simply plug it into the handprogrammer as it would be fitted to a lamp holder. Programming is performed as part of system commissioning. Once the address is set the programmer automatically increments to the next address. The whole process takes just a few seconds. The programmer can also read an LED unit address and initiate a simple test of the LEDS to verify correct LED unit operation. LED units can be reprogrammed thousands of times without damage.
