			DFS1000

DFS1000 is the lowest cost product in the range. The system provides independent control of up to 200 single colour LED units on a common cable from a single power unit. The system comprises high brightness single colour LED lamp units. The lamp units are available in a wide range of colours including cool and warm white. Warm white is particularly effective for emulating tungsten lights. DFS1000 has recently been improved to provide linear intensity control when operated from DMX.


	SYSTEM COMPONENTS


		DFS1000 LED UNIT

		The DFS1000 LED unit looks like a standard ES lamp. The globe measures 55mm diameter. The units feature excellent environmental protection and are suitable for use outdoors. When operated from DMX the system gives full intensity control. The units feature true linear current control (not PWM) to give excellent flicker free colour when viewed with a video camera. A high intensity version is available which has double the light output. This is a costed option. The maximum length of cable is 100M although a number of cables can be run in parallel from a given power unit. LED UNIT MAIN FEATURES Standard ES base. Full intensity control. Excellent environmental protection. Robust plastic globe. Failure of one LED unit will not compromise operation of the rest of the system.

The DFS1000 power unit operates from 230 or 110VAC and controls up to 200 LED units via a single two conductor cable. The system accepts LED control information from DMX or can play user created sequences from the built in memory card with our special control software to provide standalone operation. Standalone operation is not limited to 200 LED units because the system includes a special power unit synchronizing system which can time coordinate virtually any number of power units even over long distances. For outdoor applications an environmentally protected version is available with an IP66 rated polycarbonate enclosure.

	HAND PROGRAMMER

	The hand programmer is a commissioning and maintenance tool used to set the address of each LED unit. To Program an LED unit simply press it into the hand programmers special socket and press program. Programming is performed as part of system commissioning. Once the address is set the programmer automatically increments to the next address. The whole process takes just a few seconds. The programmer can also read an LED unit address and initiate a simple test of the LEDS to verify correct LED unit operation. LED units can be reprogrammed thousands of times without damage.
